Stillness. A State of Passion

“Stillness. A State of Passion”  is a representation of my place that exists in an philosophical and spiritual fourth dimension realm. To me, this place is quite euphoric and mystical, it’s where my psyche can access its infinite wisdom. In this place, I’m in the flow of water that effortlessly just be; where I root in the earth of reality and yet have the freedom of choice to fly when the next wind picks up.

As a young Asian woman, an artist, a community organizer, a daughter, a graduate student, and a lover; “Stillness. A State of Passion” speaks to different assets of myself that are contracting but yet complimenting one another. The sculpture also embodies the ideas of my own vulnerability, transparency and freedom that I’m now proud to share with the world.

This is my first sculpture that I’ve made ever since I started doodling in kindergarten. I want to challenge my ability to work with different mediums to deliver my messages.
